Dari sini, badan akan menghasilkan lebih banyak antibody yang akan menguatkan ketahan badan. Jenis muzik untuk mengurangkan tekanan berbeza mengikut citarasa dan personality setiap orang.<br />
Penyelidik mendapati kadar pernafasan , tekanan darah dan pengecutan otot perut berubah mengikut jenis muzik yang didengari.<br />
Alunan muzik lembut dan menenangkan boleh menurunkan tekanan dari ke tahap tertentu.<br />
Otak kita mempunyai dua bahagian iaitu otak kiri(pemikiran logical) dan otak kanan(pemikiran kreatif) yang boleh dihubungkan fungsinya melalui muzik. Otak bertindak balas terhadap muzik lembut dan tenang melalui beberapa pertukaran iaitu dari fasa beta(pemikiran cergas dan peka) kepada alfa, teta dan delta (ketika tidur lena iaitu fasa yang sangat tenang).<br />
Alunan muzik lembut dan menenangkan yang dipasang kepada pesakit boleh membantu mempercepatkan proses pemulihan.<br />
Twelve Benefits of Music Education</p>
<p>1. Early musical training helps develop brain areas involved in language and reasoning. It is thought that brain development continues for many years after birth. Recent studies have clearly indicated that musical training physically develops the part of the left side of the brain known to be involved with processing language, and can actually wire the brain&#8217;s circuits in specific ways. Linking familiar songs to new information can also help imprint information on young minds.</p>
<p>2. There is also a causal link between music and spatial intelligence (the ability to perceive the world accurately and to form mental pictures of things). This kind of intelligence, by which one can visualize various elements that should go together, is critical to the sort of thinking necessary for everything from solving advanced mathematics problems to being able to pack a book-bag with everything that will be needed for the day.</p>
<p>3. Students of the arts learn to think creatively and to solve problems by imagining various solutions, rejecting outdated rules and assumptions. Questions about the arts do not have only one right answer.</p>
<p>4. Recent studies show that students who study the arts are more successful on standardized tests such as the SAT. They also achieve higher grades in high school.</p>
<p>5. A study of the arts provides children with an internal glimpse of other cultures and teaches them to be empathetic towards the people of these cultures. This development of compassion and empathy, as opposed to development of greed and a &#8220;me first&#8221; attitude, provides a bridge across cultural chasms that leads to respect of other races at an early age.</p>
<p>6. Students of music learn craftsmanship as they study how details are put together painstakingly and what constitutes good, as opposed to mediocre, work. These standards, when applied to a student&#8217;s own work, demand a new level of excellence and require students to stretch their inner resources.</p>
<p>7. In music, a mistake is a mistake; the instrument is in tune or not, the notes are well played or not, the entrance is made or not. It is only by much hard work that a successful performance is possible. Through music study, students learn the value of sustained effort to achieve excellence and the concrete rewards of hard work.</p>
<p>8. Music study enhances teamwork skills and discipline. In order for an orchestra to sound good, all players must work together harmoniously towards a single goal, the performance, and must commit to learning music, attending rehearsals, and practicing.</p>
<p>9. Music provides children with a means of self-expression. Now that there is relative security in the basics of existence, the challenge is to make life meaningful and to reach for a higher stage of development. Everyone needs to be in touch at some time in his life with his core, with what he is and what he feels. Self-esteem is a by-product of this self-expression.</p>
<p>10. Music study develops skills that are necessary in the workplace. It focuses on &#8220;doing,&#8221; as opposed to observing, and teaches students how to perform, literally, anywhere in the world. Employers are looking for multi-dimensional workers with the sort of flexible and supple intellects that music education helps to create as described above. In the music classroom, students can also learn to better communicate and cooperate with one another.</p>
<p>11. Music performance teaches young people to conquer fear and to take risks. A little anxiety is a good thing, and something that will occur often in life. Dealing with it early and often makes it less of a problem later. Risk-taking is essential if a child is to fully develop his or her potential.</p>
<p>12. An arts education exposes children to the incomparable.</p>
<p>Music in the Classroom<br />

<p>In the popular film School of Rock, Jack Black, as substitute teacher Dewey Finn, leaps to the front of the classroom, whips out an electric guitar, and plays an original Led-Zeppelin-esque tune for his stunned fifth graders. Most teachers´ experiences with music in the classroom are a far cry from Black´s maniacal rock-and-roll antics—they find themselves on easier terms with a paper-towel-tube maraca than with a flaming red electric guitar.</p>
<p>But any teacher—even those who discreetly mouth the words to “Happy Birthday”—can find ways to access the enormous educational benefits of music.</p>
<p>Sustained and rich school music programs are the ideal, and many teachers, parents, and community members-armed with a wealth of research-have taken action to protect them. (See “Parents Demand More Music”, below.) But even if your school´s marching band, musical theater program, and after-school ukulele club eventually fall under the budgetary ax, music does not have to be banished from your school. Integrating music with other academic subjects is one way to salvage some of its strengths and to enrich the entire curriculum.</p>
<p>Math Set to Music<br />
“Kids come to school knowing &#8216;Mary Had a Little Lamb&#8217; and &#8216;Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,&#8217;” says Kay Smitherman, a retired math teacher from Angleton, Texas. “Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice if children came to school already knowing math formulas by heart?” Smitherman, whose “Math Songs” activities appear in the January/February issue ofInstructor, has made a second career of setting math-themed lyrics to popular tunes to help kids memorize essential formulas and skills.</p>
<p>“With music, the steps are already implanted in your brain,” she explains. “Students can hum while a test is being taken—it&#8217;s right there in their heads.” Once, she recalls, a student walked up to her after a test and confessed that a group of children had cheated. “What?” she asked, surprised. “How?” The sheepish student explained: “When we got to that part about mean, median, range, and mode, we hummed until we got to that part, then wrote it down.”</p>
<p>Getting students to participate in the music-making can add another level of engagement. Math educator Robyn Silbey, from Gaithersberg, Maryland, encourages the teachers she trains to “use music to help students recall basic multiplication facts, for example. The teachers challenge kids to reinforce these facts by making up new words to a well-known song.</p>
<p>“This strategy is an effective way to have students embed anything they need to learn for mastery or to memorize,” says Silbey. “I like it because all the kids are involved in teaching and learning, it&#8217;s less work for the teacher, and it&#8217;s fun and gets the job done.”</p>
<p>Lyrics and Language<br />
As the self-styled Ms. Music, Beth Butler spent years visiting preschools throughout her home state of Florida, using songs to teach little ones the days of the week, parts of the body, and more. Then she made a discovery: “Using music is exactly the way to teach a new language,” she says.</p>
<p>A fluent Spanish speaker, Butler started Boca Beth (www.bocabeth.com), a Spanish-English language program that uses songs, movements, and puppets to teach Spanish vocabulary and phrases. The familiar songs on Butler&#8217;s DVDs and CDs—such as “Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed”-alternate between English and Spanish stanzas.</p>
<p>“Children are such sponges,” says Butler. “They pick it up quickly, and music makes it so much easier for them.” Just 10 minutes a day can put kids on the road to building a decent bilingual vocabulary—with no effort at all. Kids can just relax and listen.</p>
<p>While music can help kids retain a new language, it also helps them with basic skills in their native language. Christina Ledbetter, who has taught first grade for three years at Plumb Elementary in Clearwater, Florida, explains that “in the beginning of first grade, it is important for children to know that we read from left to right and then back down to the next row.” To get kids to understand this, Ledbetter uses a tune by songwriter Jack Hartmann called “The Way We Read” (www.jackhartmann.com), which kids act out with their hands and bodies as they sing along.</p>
<p>Children with language difficulties in particular can benefit from music, says Susan Stackhouse, a support teacher for second through fifth grade and a regular seventh- and eighth- grade classroom teacher at McDonald Elementary School in Warminster, Pennsylvania. To accommodate some of her students&#8217; disabilities, Stackhouse makes up her own lyrics to popular tunes. For example, her version of “Hokey Pokey” starts with a word like train. She sings: You take the “t” out and put a “g” in, you take the “r” out, and look at what you have.You put the sounds together and you try to sound it out. (Kids clap.) What is the new word? Kids: Gain!</p>
<p>“I have children self-talk through a difficult word by singing a song and applying it to their reading,” says Stackhouse. “It&#8217;s very effective.” </p>
<p>Musical Intelligence<br />
When Diane Connell taught a lesson on honeybees to third graders—including children with special needs—she looked for a way to make the subject come alive. A quick browse through the local music store turned up Rimski-Korsakov&#8217;s “Flight of the Bumblebee.” Back in class, the children got out of their seats and “buzzed” around the room to the fast, jerky rhythm of the composition. “The music helped them feel exactly what I was talking about in the lesson,” says Connell, now an associate professor at Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire. Teaching the students in this fashion engages the emotions. “If students really care about something, they&#8217;ll remember it,” asserts Connell.</p>
<p>As one of Howard Gardner&#8217;s major intelligence areas, music is valuable for its own sake as well as for what it can add to a lesson. Linda DiPasquale-Morello, a teacher at John C. Milanesi Elementary in Buena, New Jersey, feels that music is “just as or even more important than reading, writing, and math.” She says, “Many children who do not show academic awareness or excellence have the ability to show their forte in the arts—either musical or visual art. That&#8217;s why I am so against using just standardized testing for knowledge and understanding. We need all kinds of people with all kinds of talents!”</p>
<p>As Greg Percy, a teacher of art for 20 years in Madison, Wisconsin, has discovered, a musical intelligence can even help kids with—what else?—other types of art. Percy&#8217;s greatest hits (www.songsinthekeyofart.com) include the “Picasso Polka,” “From Matisse to You,” “Michaelangelo Mad,” and “The Red and Yellow Blues”-the latter a catchy ditty on primary colors. In his art classes, Percy will show some samples of an artist&#8217;s work, talk about the artist, and then play an original song pertaining to that day&#8217;s art lesson. For example, his song “Van Gogh (No Stereo)” appeals to kids because they remember one gruesome fact about the Dutch master: that he cut off his ear—and, as the song goes, couldn&#8217;t hear “in stereo.” The songs ignite the kids&#8217; interest and help them remember important facts and elements of art history.</p>
<p>“The kids are learning, but they don&#8217;t know they&#8217;re learning,” says Percy. “That&#8217;s the best situation.”</p>
<p>Culture and Music<br />
The students that Teri Tibbett meets are often isolated—with sometimes as few as six children and one teacher to a rural schoolhouse—and starved for artistic experiences. Tibbett, an itinerant music teacher based in Juneau, Alaska, brings the only musical exposure that these students have.</p>
<p>With younger children, Tibbett emphasizes movement: clapping, bouncing, and finger play. Older kids in fifth through eighth grade learn about the music&#8217;s “background, where it came from, and the sociology of the music style.” In the summertime, Tibbett works with native youth—mostly of the Tlingit and Haida tribes—in a juvenile detention center. She starts with a Native American unit from her book Listen to Learn: Using American Music to Teach Language Arts and Social Studies (Jossey-Bass, 2004). “They get excited,” she says, “because that&#8217;s who they are. They realize this isn&#8217;t the typical music appreciation class. Then they&#8217;re hooked on it.”</p>
<p>The older kids also get to see and handle instruments from various cultures. Tibbett asks questions that get them to analyze and compare: “Here&#8217;s a rattle. Touch it, look at it. Why does this instrument belong in the idiophone family? How is this like sticks banging together, or two goat hooves clacking together?”</p>
<p>Tibbett links her music lessons with history, such as the Ghost Dance that took place before the Massacre at Wounded Knee in the late 1800s. The dancers performed the dance as a healing ritual, but “the military perceived it as a war dance,” she says. “It made them nervous—and the massacre followed.” Playing music that accompanied the Ghost Dance can bring history alive for students. By analyzing their own gut reactions to the music, students can gain a better understanding of how the military might have interpreted the Ghost Dance and the dancers&#8217; intentions.</p>
<p>Jennifer Rodin, who trains elementary-level teachers at the Oglala Lakota College in Kyle, South Dakota, develops social studies lessons based upon various types of music—percussion, hip-hop, and call-and-response. A teacher can link music and social studies, suggests Rodin, by sending students to the Internet to do a guided search. For example, a search of “music + instruments + Ancient Egypt” turns up images and descriptions of lyres, flutes, and cymbals. A teacher can encourage kids to discuss why these instruments might have been developed, what materials they were made of, and what tools were used to construct them. Using easy-to-find materials such as pie pans, beads, spoons, duct tape, and plastic eggs, kids can measure and build their own versions of these instruments. Lastly, “if you&#8217;re lucky enough to find recordings of the actual music,” says Rodin, “then you can make math connections by talking about the music&#8217;s counting and rhythm patterns.”</p>
<p>Music Promotes Wonder<br />
Music Promotes Wonder Beyond the research, teachers know from the expressions on their students&#8217; faces that music&#8217;s benefits go far beyond what can be assessed. Put simply, students enjoy, gain nourishment from, and build their confidence through participation in the arts. Writes Norman Weinberger, Ph.D., a professor in the department of Psychobiology at the University of California, Irvine, “Arts education appears to really bring out the best in students, capitalizing on their natural curiosity and allowing it to flourish in a varied, stimulating environment.”</p>
<p>For the student who has given up on school or has never found his or her strength, music is sometimes the incentive needed to show up every day. “Everyone has a gift to explore and develop,” says Jackie Buckner, a third-grade teacher at Frank Kohn Elementary School, in Tulare, California. “Part of my job as a teacher is to assist in locating and developing those gifts.”</p>
<p>Take away the opportunity for children to find these strengths, and you are doing a disservice to society, says Ann Fennell, a third- through eighth-grade music teacher at the Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts in San Diego. Fennell is director of Music Ventures, a program that trains teachers how to integrate music into the curriculum. “It&#8217;s imperative to teach all of the arts,” she says, “because we don&#8217;t know whom we are denying. Take Louis Armstrong. Had he never held a trumpet, what would the world have lost? Many kids do not get these chances at home. As a teacher, you have to open up every door, to every child, to let them discover their infinite possibilities.”</p>
<p>Music Under Seige<br />
While the arts have been deemed a core subject by NCLB, there is no standardized test in place to measure how skillfully one strums a guitar chord. As a result, music programs in many schools are thought to be expendable. According to the Music Education Coalition, the current round of budget cuts will deprive 60 percent of K–12 students of an education that includes music. “To have music education stricken from the school system is devastating,” says composer Bruce Adolphe, music and education advisor to the Lincoln Center&#8217;s Chamber Music Society. “Education should help create a whole human being, and it&#8217;s not going to if you have to only do well on English and math tests and excel in sports . . . Music is a language without barriers, and it creates a community that&#8217;s a model for humanity.”</p>
<p>Higher Test Scores<br />
The reduction in school music programs is not only damaging from an aesthetic standpoint, it also flies in the face of research that suggests kids who study music perform better on tests. Numerous studies reveal that kids who participate in music programs show improved spatial-temporal skills, enhanced academic performance, and better social skills. According to a 2001 College Entrance Examination Board study, students with coursework or experience in music performance scored 57 points higher on the verbal section of the SAT and 41 points higher on the math; those who participated in music appreciation scored 63 and 44 points higher, respectively, than those students with no arts participation. A 1999 study from the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies showed that gains from music were just as great or greater for students of low socioeconomic status as for privileged students.</p>
<p>Parents Demand More Music<br />
Ninety-five percent of parents say that music is a key component in a child&#8217;s education,” says Laura Johnson, associate executive director of the American Music Conference, a nonprofit organization that promotes the benefits of music-making. People sense intuitively that “kids who study music do better in school and in life,” she says, “and that&#8217;s backed up by a great deal of research.” The community at large supports music education; according to a 2003 Gallup poll, 97 percent of respondents believe that playing music is “a good hobby” and “a good means of expression” that “provides a sense of accomplishment.” For advice on how to assemble a campaign to save music in your school, visit www.supportmusic.com. Pengenalan<br />
Permainan Dikir Barat adalah suatu teater tradisional yang paling digemari oleh masyarakat Melayu di kelantan dan Patani di selatan Thai. Secara umumnya, permainan ini lebih popular sebagai muzik rakyat. Di dalam persembahan dikir barat terdapat satu kumpulan yang diketuai oleh seorang tukang karut dan tok juara . Mereka akan mengarut sambil berbalas pantun dan diikuti oleh awok-awok  (chorus)sebagai suara latar yang kuat dan lantang.  Menurut Tan dan Matusky (1998), Dikir barat merupakan sebuah persembahan muzik instrumental dan puisi   yang dinyanyikan.<br />
Dikir barat boleh dipersembahkan sebagai hiburan ataupun pertandingan. Dalam masyarakat permainan ini biasanya dimainkan selepas musim menuai padi, majlis perkahwinan, majlis perasmian dan majlis berkhatan. Di samping itu, pertandingan sering diadakan oleh persatuan-persatuan belia tempatan, jabatan-jabatan kerajaan. Dikir barat adalah permainan baru jika dibandingankan dengan teater tradisional lain.<br />
 Mengikut gaya lama, persembahan dikir barat mengutamakan tema yang melibatkan kehidupan seharian orang tempatan dengan unsur-unsur lucu. Tema  masakini masih mengekalkan unsur tempatan tetapi memaparkan topik semasa mengenai ekonomi, politik, pendidikan dan perpaduan sosial. Lazimnya dikir barat yang dipersembahkan di televisyen mendidik masyarakat tentang kebajikan, kesihatan dan isu sosial. Contohnya tema kesihatan yang  mengisahkan tentang bahaya nyamuk aedes, penyakit denggi atau penyakit sosial.<br />
2.0 Watak-watak utama dalam Dikir Barat<br />
Permainan dikir barat adalah permainan kolektif di antara Juara( Tok Juara), Tukang karut dan Awok-awok serta pemain ensemble. Mereka adalah ibarat satu badan yang saling bergantung antara satu sama lain. Jika satu anggota tidak dapat berfungsi dengan sempurna , seluruh badan tidak dapat berfungsi dengan berkesan . Tanpa kerjasama yang jitu, persembahan itu tidak akan berjaya, menurut  Omar (1989).<br />
2.1 Tukang karut adalah orang yang memainkan peranan yang sangat penting dalam sesuatu persembahan. Baik atau buruk sesuatu perse bahan itu bergantung kepada tukang karutnya.  Seorang tukang karut yang baik mesti mempunyai kemahiran mencipta lrik, menyusun idea spontan yang sesuai dengan tema. Kebolehan seseorang tukang karut melagukan sesuatu melodi  dan tema yang tertentu akan menetapkan mereka dengan identiti yang tersendiri misalnya  Seman bin mamat dapat membawakan lagu karut Wau Bulan dengan baik dan berkesan, dan dia terkenal dengan gelaran Seman Wau Bulan. Nama-nama besar  tukang karut yang lain ialah Dolah Kulat malam, Awang ikan duyung. Terdapat juga tukang karut yang menggunakan gelaran berdasar tempat asal mereka seperti Pak leh Tapang, Daud Bukit Abal, Pak Mat Burma dan Ripin Belimbing. Transisi dikir barat telah menwujudkan generasi baru yang mempusakai kemahiran mengarut ini seperti Cikgu Sulizi, arwah cikgu naim, Jen Endoro, Meli Tumpok dan ramai lagi. Dalam kajian dan artikel yang ditemui, terdapat juga tukang karut wanita sekitar tahun 70an seperti  Faridah Bobby, Esah sayonara, Semah Anak Tiong dan Khaltom. Generasi tukang karut wanita terkini ialah Ayu Rosalinda, Adik Wani, Rohaya dan zainun. Meraka in I sebenarnya lebih kepada ‘menyanyi’ dari menjadi tukang karut.<br />
2.2 Tok Jora (Juara) adalah watak kedua penting dalam persembahan. Juara adalah orang yang memulakan nyanyian  dalam persembahan. Juara jugalah yang menentukan tema persembahan melalui lagu awalnya. Selain itu juga juara merupakan pemimpin kumpulan . Di antara juara yang terkenal adalah Yusof kelong dan Salleh Jambu. Pada waktu yang tertentu, juara juga terpaksa mengarut swaktu menunggu ketibaan tukang karut.</p>
<p>2.3 Awok-awok adalah sekumpulan orang yang berdikir dalam permainan dikir barat. Kebiasaannya awok-awok terdiri dari pemuda-pemuda belasan tahun  dan kerana faktor usia inilah mereka digelar ‘ budok-budok dikir’. Secara praktikalnya orang dewasa juga tergolong sebagai awok-awok dewasa ini. Gelaran awok-awok ini adalah sempena nama kumpulan nelayan yang turun ke laut dalam sebuah bot yang diketuai oleh seorang juragan. Tugas awok-awok ini ialah mengikut atau mengulangi lagu secara beramai-ramai disambil bertepuk tangan. Dalam seni muzik barat suara awok-awok ini dikenali sebagai ‘ korus’. Dalam kumpulan dikir barat, bilangan awok-awok terhad bilangannya iaitu 12 hingga 40 orang. Ini bergantung kepada suasana persembahan. Awok-awok tidak boleh diambil sembarangan, mereka yang tidak cekap dan kurang berpengalaman akan memberikan kesan yang negatif kepada kumpulan.</p>
<p>2.4 Pemuzik adalah mereka yang telah berpengalaman dan dapat menguasai lagu dan alat muzik mereka dengan baik.<br />
Cara persembahan<br />
Dalam persembahan dikir barat ensembel instrumental memperkenalkan sesuatu lagu dengan memainkan dan mengulangi rentak yang pendek dan rancak serta tepukan tangan oleh anggota-anggota korus. Tok juara terus mula menyanyi pantun serta baris melodi tertentu dengan irama yang tidak bermeter dan tempo yang perlahan. Baris melodi vokal ini berbunga sederhana sahaja . Tok Juara menyanyi secara tanpa iringan.<br />
Pada penghujung baris melodi dan pantun itu, awok-awok meneruskan persembahan dengan mengulangi teks pantun yang telah dinyanyikan  oleh Tok Juara, tetapi kali ini nyanyian korus diiringi dengan alat muzik dan tepukan tangan serta gerak-geri lengan, tangan dan badan. Nyanyian dan gerak-geri korus dikendalikan secara unison. Korus dan Tok Juara biasanya berselang-seli menyanyikan senikata pantun rangkap demi rangkap. Bentuk strofik digunakan. Melodi tidak berubah walaupun senikata baru dinyanyikan pada setiap rangkap.<br />
Selepas pantun yang akhir dihabiskan oleh korus, seorang tukang karut berdiri di atas pentas dan menyambut semua orang yang menghadiri persembahan. Tukang karut ini mencipta senikata yang berbentuk pantun secara spontan. Pantunnya menengahkan tema tempatan tertentu atau berasaskan tema pantun Tok Juara tadi. Nyanyian tukang karut diikuti oleh nyanyian awok-awok mengikut melodi dan gaya nyanyian yang digunakan oleh tukang karut. Pada waktu itu tempo beransur-ansur menjadi rancak.<br />
Dalam persembahan dikir barat, tumpuan diberikan pada senikata yang terang dan melodi yang tidak kompleks. Ini adalah supaya lagu-lagu mudah difahami dan dapat menarik minat penonton.<br />
Ensemble Muzik Dikir barat<br />
Pada zaman dahulu ensemble asas mengandungi dua buah rebana dan sebuah gong besar yang dinamakan tetawak. Masakini ensemble ini menambahkan pelbagai alat muzik termasuk alat muzik barat.<br />
Alat muzik asas yang masih digunakan ialah dua alat muzik rebana mengikut saiz yang dipanggil rebana ‘ibu’ dan rebana ‘anak’. Kedua genre ‘membranofon’ mengikut Van Bostel (1994), diletakkan menegak dan kulitnya dipukul dengan kedua-dua belah tangan pemain. Timbre asas yang dihasilkan oleh pemain rebana ialah ‘tak’ dan ‘dung’. Alat rebana ibu dan anak menghasilkan rentak tertentu. Pemain rebana ibu memainkan rentak utama sementara pemain rebana anak memainkan rentak yang ‘meningkah’ rentak rebana ibu.<br />
Alat ‘idiofon’yang digunakan dalam ensemble ialah ‘tetawak’ . Tetawak merupakan gong besar yang berbusut (knobbed gong). Gong ini digantung dan pukul pada busut dengan pemukul yang berbalut dengan getah. Tetawak dimainkan pada setiap bit yang ke 4.<br />
Canang iaitu alat gong-chime, terdiri daripada dua buah gong kecil yang berbusut. Gong ini digantung dan dipukul dengan sepasang kayu yang berbalut getah.<br />
Marakas ialah yang dipinjam daripada muzik popular barat. Alat idiofon ini terdiri dari sebuah labu yang berisi kekacang yang akan menghasilkan bunyi apabila alat itu digoncangkan . Biasanya sepasang marakas dimainkan oleh seorang pemain. Canang dan marakas menghasilkan bit berterusan.</p>
<p>Subjek Kajian Video Lagu Ewau Bulan Oleh Arwah Cikgu Naim<br />
Saya telah memilih video dikir barat yang bertajuk  “ Wau Bulan” nyanyian arwah Cikgu Naim, seorang tukang karut yang terkenal. Arwah merupakan seorang guru lepasan universiti  yang merupakan salah seorang generasi muda yang berpendidikan tinggi yang sanggup meneruskan warisan budaya yang hampir dilupakan generasi kini. Dengan penglibatan beliau dalam dikir barat bersama dengan rakan seperjuangan seperti Cikgu Sulizi dan Halim Yazid, telah mengangkat seni dikir barat ke tempat yang lebih tinggi dengan genre dan lirik-lirik lagu yang lebih bermutu dan mempunyai unsur-unsur pendidikan.<br />
Cara Persembahan</p>
<p>Lagu Wau Bulan dikategorikan sebagai lagu karut , Tukang Karut akan menyanyikan intro lagu secara ‘free tempo” bersama “ adlib”. Dalam vidoe kajian, tukang karut menyanyikan intro E-wau Bule…., e-wau bule…., e-wau bule teraju tiga…, ini male samo samo….samo-samo bersuka ria, ini male samo-samo…samo-samo bersukaria… dan disambut oleh awok bersama tepukan dan juga muzik. Awok-awok duduk dalam bulatan bersama pemuzik. Cara kedudukan menunjukan kesatuan dan keharmonian dalam menjalankan peranan masing-masing.<br />
Lagu ini biasanya sering digunakan sebagai lagu penutup dalam seseuatu persembahan.<br />
Instrumentasi dan Fungsi Ensemble </p>
<p>Dalam video ini, instrument atau ensemble yang digunakan ialah:<br />
a)	Gendang Anak : Berperanan memainkan rentak dikir barat dan saling bertingkah dengan gendang ibu.<br />
b)	Gendang Ibu :  Berperanan memainkan rentak dikir barat dan saling bertingkah dengan gendang anak. Gendang ibu selaku alat muzik utama dan selalu melakukan ‘ adlib’.<br />
c)	Gong : Sebagai penanda masa<br />
d)	Canang : Memberikan warna kepada rentak dikir barat, memainkan bit yang berterusan.<br />
e)	Marakas: Menambahkan warna kepada rentak dikir barat, memainkan bit berterusan dan juga boleh dimainkan untuk nilai not yang panjan atau penghujung lagu.</p>

<p>Lagu yang dinyanyikan dalam video ini adalah dalam Skel Major. Pergerakan kodnya ialah I,IV,I,I,VI dan I. Kadennya adalah Kaden Sempurna ( Perfect Cadence).</p>

Dalam  topic irama mengandungi elemen seperti detik, tekanan dan meter. Bagi lagu Wau Bule detiknya adalah jenis empatan. Tekanan diberikan pada detik pertama yang dimainkan dengan  tepukan awok-awok dan gong sebagai penanda masa. Dari segi meter pula, pada lazimnya lagu dikir barat adalah bermeter empatan ( 4 detik dalam satu bar). Tempo lagu ini adalah sederhana  (andante). Kadang kala penyanyi dikir barat tidak mengikut tempo yang  tepat kerana repertoire dikir barat tidak terikat dengan system muzikal.</p>

Lagu Wau Bulan boleh dikatakan sebagai  repertoire utama dalam seksyen penutup dalam sesuatu persembahan dikir barat. Saya telah cuba mengkaji dan menganalisa video lagu ini sedaya upaya . Begitulah perkembangan dikir barat yang sangat perlu dipelihara dan dipusakai oleh generasi  masakini. Transisi yang dilalui oleh Dikir barat bukan berfungsi sebagai hiburan tetapi juga mampu menyampaikan maklumat , amanat kerajaan, pengiklanan dengan berkesan.</p>

<p><strong>OBJEKTIF</strong><br />
Objektif Jabatan Kajian Sosial ialah:<br />
1 Merancang dan melaksanakan program kurikulum dalam bidang pengajian sosial, pengajian pendidikan seni visual dan    pengajian muzik;<br />
2 Melaksanakan program peningkatan pencapaian guru pelatih;<br />
3 Merancang dan menjadualkan program kerja kursus dan penilaian;<br />
4 Merancang kursus peringkat sekolah,skaf akademik dan guru pelatih;<br />
5 Menyebarkan maklumat pengajaran dan pembelajaran terkini;<br />

<p>﻿<strong>Notasi</strong></p>
<p>A note is a symbol that represents pitch and rhythm. As for pitch, it is placed on either a line or space of the musical staff. As for rhythm, it is placed proportionately within a measure according to the time value of the note.</p>

<p>The part of a note that is common to all note symbols is the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note head</a>. A <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note head</a> may take different shapes and sizes depending on the effect the composer intends for that sound. The <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note head</a> is placed on a line or a space of the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Staff.html">musical staff</a> to indicate what <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">pitch</a> to play.</p>
<p>The stem is part of a note that is common to all <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note types</a> smaller in duration than the whole note. A <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note head</a> placed below the middle line of the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Staff.html">musical staff</a> has the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">stem</a> going up. Likewise, a <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note head</a>placed above the middle line of the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Staff.html">musical staff</a> has the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">stem</a> going down. For the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">stem</a> going up, it is placed to the right of the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note head</a>. For the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">stem</a> going down, it is placed to the left. When a <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note head</a> is placed on the middle line of the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">musical staff</a>, the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">stem</a> can go either up or down.</p>
<p>When there are two or more notes grouped in <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">harmony</a> or by beam, the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">stem</a> goes opposite the direction of the furthest note from the middle line of the <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Staff.html">musical staff</a>.</p>
<p>The flag is part of a note that is common to all <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note types</a> smaller in duration than a quarter note. The more flags on the note stem, the shorter the duration of the note. <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">Flagged notes</a> are often beamed together within the space of a beat. In vocal music, notes are beamed over a sustained syllable.</p>
<p>The different <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">note types</a> provide <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Const.html">rhythm</a> to music. The rhythmic values of the notes must be calculated to fit within the span of a <a href="http://www.treblis.com/Notation/Measure.html">measure</a>.</p>

<p>Jabatan Kajian Sosial terdiri daripada tiga unit iaitu Unit Pengajian Sosial, Unit Pengajian Pendidikan Seni Visual dan Unit Pengajian Muzik. Jabatan ini bertanggungjawab meningkatkan lagi semangat patriotik dan cintakan negara di kalangan guru pelatih melalui subjek Pendidikan Negara Bangsa, pengajian sosial, bidang seni visual dan bidang muzik yang mengandungi elemen-elemen pengetahuan, kemahiran dan nilai untuk mencapai aspirasi negara.</p>
<p><strong>2   Objektif </strong></p>
<p>2.1  Merancang dan melaksanakan program kurikulum dalam bidang pengajian</p>
<p>sosial, pengajian pendidikan seni visual dan pengajian muzik.</p>
<p>2.2  Melaksanakan program peningkatan pencapaian guru pelatih.</p>
<p>2.3  Merancang dan menjadualkan program kerja kursus dan penilaian.</p>
<p>2.4  Merancang kursus peringkat sekolah,skaf akademik dan guru pelatih.</p>
<p>2.5  Menyebarkan maklumat pengajaran dan pembelajaran terkini.</p>
<p>2.6  Menyediakan mekanisme pemantauan dan penilaian ke atas guru pelatih.</p>
